During  Older Americans Month, Legal Legal Services of Alabama is reaching out to seniors via a webinar, Older Americans Month Series: Avoiding Exploitation and Maintaining Your Autonomy.

SARCOA has a program called Phone Pals that can arrange a volunteer call to check on you or a loved one. Each phone call offers a listening ear and an encouraging word.

Scams related to the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, are rapidly increasing as the public health emergency develops.

Medicare open enrollment begins October 15. Enrollment events will be held via phone this year. These events are intended to help persons enroll in a Medicare plan for 2022.

Sign-ups are now open through May 1, 2021, for Senior Farmers Market Vouchers. SARCOA is doing sign-ups via phone.

Anyone age 16 or older is now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in the state of Alabama.
