SARCOA volunteers make a difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities throughout our seven-county region. You too can make a positive impact in the community through a wide variety of flexible volunteer opportunities!

We believe that everyone has a talent to share. Volunteers are needed in many ways. Those include:

  • Here at the SARCOA office assisting with front desk duties which include answering phones and greeting guests.
  • Through our senior centers by delivering meals or teaching/leading classes in art, crafts, music, computers, exercise programs, sewing, recreation activities, or with other educational topics.
  • Building ramps and/or handrails through our Neighbors for Seniors projects.
  • During specials events. Each December, volunteers make our Santa for Seniors project a success. Other SARCOA events are Older Americans Day, Senior Day at the Fair, and our Valentines Dance.
  • With our Ombudsman program by being a specially trained volunteer assisting in long-term care facilities.
  • With our State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) by assisting with enrollments.

SARCOA is an excellent volunteer opportunity for anyone with a passion for advocacy and helping seniors and individuals with disabilities. Volunteers make a difference! Share your talents and become a SARCOA volunteer.
