Older Americans Day

On the first Wednesday in May, more than 2,000 area seniors converge at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan for an event full of games, prizes, food and entertainment. This year’s event will be held May 7, 2025, with festivities beginning at 9 a.m. For a printable flier with all the details click here.

Seniors experience hours of enjoyment listening to the music provided by local entertainers. Those wanting a little more activity may take part in the game booths or visit with vendors offering information about their services and products.

Generous door prizes donated by our sponsors are given to the many lucky winners just before lunch. A picnic lunch is then served to the seniors by one of hundreds of volunteers who help to make this day a special one.

Admission is free and includes lunch. To order tickets please fill out the ticket order form below and click ‘Order Tickets’. We encourage you to bring as many people as you would like. However, please do not order more tickets than you need because SARCOA must pay for each meal ordered.
