Each year during the National Peanut Festival in Dothan, Alabama, a special day is set aside to honor all area senior citizens (55 and older). Admission is free from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for seniors to enjoy the festival and all it has to offer. Special programs are also provided.

As an area agency on aging and the disabled, SARCOA works to bring together funding sources and service providers to deliver services that assist senior citizens and disabled individuals, helping them maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life.
